A wide variety of free web page-making materials exist to create class web sites, and most school districts have the necessary server space to host such a valuable teaching tool. So, the creation of a class web site is a matter of finding the time and energy -- both difficult tasks. And don’t forget the effort to keep the site updated.
Also consider the problem with posting photos of students online. Make sure you check your school’s policy and get parent permission. Finally, what content should be on the site and what are the legal aspects?
Given these concerns, here are some examples of teacher-made web sites at all grade levels to help provide useful ideas. If you have some good classroom web sites, contact me here.
