Many states have cut teaching staff, and even teachers who get a job may find it gone next year. So an abundance of teachers with general degrees, such as English and social studies, may exist. Despite this, there is always hope, especially if you can be in the right place at the right time. The following Internet sites may help with timing, but be cautioned -- look before you leap.
Due to the nature of job listings and the uneven quality and quantity of positions, go through the process slowly. Don’t deal with sites that charge a fee unless you feel it’s worth it. Some sites may ask you to register first, and that information may be used by others. So I suggest you have a separate e-mail account for job searches -- in case spam comes a-calling.
I strongly recommended you seek out those who have used these services for their insights. I also recommend you use the job placement services at the university where you completed your educational training. These services are sometimes available online.
