| Wars are a major part of many grade level curriculum
requirements. They can be a great learning tool for students
in terms of cause and effect and have the capacity to teach
many other topics as well such as geography, civics, political
science, propaganda and language. Alan Haskvitz recommends using
primary resources and historical fiction to make these units
more telling.
Many resources and lessons are available in textbooks and
online, but frequently these are simply outlines or too esoteric
to motivate students. To that end, we've collected some of
the better links to war and peace resources around the world,
including the Holocaust.
